Department of Botany
As a plant molecular biologist, I have great interest in the various aspects of plant response towards stresses and unravel the underlying molecular mechanisms behind the response. The complex mechanism of stress response from perceiving to ultimate action wonders me as a molecular biology researcher. I have great interest on different pathways that are affected by the stresses and how the pathways interlinked each other to provide the ultimately tolerance or sensitivity. I also have interest in the plant developmental biology and gene silencing technology to know the dynamic process of plant maturation and stage differentiation. Recent innovation of genome editing also enthralled me as it has opened up a new era of science. Hard work coupled with dedication, honesty and creative potential, I wish to carve a niche in my work field and, contribute to the goal of the institution in the best possible way in all my endeavours as an individual and as part of the team.Show less
