Sheikh Shams Morsalin is Associate Professor of International Relations at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Currently he is working as PhD researcher at the Department of Conflict & Development Studies, Ghent University, Belgium. Being a Commonwealth scholar, Morsalin received his MSc degree with ‘distinction’ from Institute of Development Studies (IDS), University of Sussex, UK in the field of Climate Change and Development. Earlier, he completed his Bachelor (Honors) and Master degrees in International Relations from University of Dhaka and topped at both the levels. During his career at the University of Dhaka, Morsalin published numerous journal articles, book chapters and monograph, and presented papers at national and international conferences and seminars. His areas of interest include foreign policy of Bangladesh, conflict and border governance, polictal economy of informal trade, non-traditional security issues in South Asia, environmental hazards and climate change adaptation challenges in developing countries.Show less
