Dr. Santus Kumar Deb is a Professor of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Dr. Deb started teaching as a Lecturer in the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management since 2009. He is serving as a Chairman of the department and also served as a Director of Evening MBA Program of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management. He has conducted classes on Vincent Pol University Lublin (Poland, Europe) as a visiting professor. At present he is serving as a Research Fellow of INTI International University Malaysia. He is also serving as a Head of Research of Center for Tourism Studies (CTS).

He has completed his BBA and MBA Major in Marketing, PgD in Supply Chain Management, Executive Program in Strategic Digital Marketing and PhD in eTourism Service Management. His area of research interest in Sustainable Tourism, Service Management, Smart Tourism, Digital Marketing,Tourism Planning and Development, Marine Tourism, and Event Management.

He has written Two Books named ‘Tourism in Bangladesh’ and ‘Fundamentals of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Service Management in general. for under-graduate students in Bangladesh. His another Two SCOPUS Index books on ‘Smart Tourism’ and 'Tourism and Hospitality Management-A modern Fusion of Sectors' will be published soon by Taylor Francis Group (AAP Publication) and Bentham Publication ( Singapore). He has received ‘Runner-UP’ Position in the Best Researcher Poster Award (under the faculty of Business studies) at the 1st Research-Publication Fair, University of Dhaka in 2022. He has also received 'DU Research Excellence Recognition-2025' for exemplary contribution to scholarly excellence through high quality research publications.

He is serving as an Associate Editor journal named ‘Journal of Digital Marketing and Communication' and Editorial Board Member of Sport and Tourism Central European Journal'. He is the ad-hoc reviews of Emerald, Springer, Inderscience, Routledge and others). He delivered speech as a keynote speaker and also as a speaker in the many international conferences. He has published more than 35 articles in the tourism related renowned journal of the world (most of the articles published in SCOPUS index journals (Q1, Q2, ABDC rank journals along with web of science index).
