Ms. Rasheda Akter Rupa, a former student of the Department of MIS, completed her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees from the same department with excellent academic performance.

She secured 1st position in the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka in 2017. In recognition of her academic excellence, she was awarded the Prime Minister Gold Medal 2017 from the Faculty of Business Studies. She also received the President Gold Medal in the 51st convocation of the University of Dhaka. Besides, she was awarded some prestigious accolades such as – the Dean’s Honor Award, Dean’s Merit Award, University Grant Commission Scholarship, Graduate and Post-graduate scholarship, etc.

Before joining the MIS Department, Ms. Rupa served as a Lecturer at the Department of Business and Technology Management of the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), a Senior Lecturer at the School of Business of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), and a Lecturer at the Department of Business Administration of Prime University. She brought about five years of teaching experience at national and international universities.

Ms. Rupa continually engages in research-based activities along with her regular academic activities. Her research interests are broader business issues such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, and green supply chain management. She has published in diverse high-impact journals, including Q1 and Sustainability Journal.
