Md. Faruk Shah is a professor of development dtudies at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. By training he is medical anthropologis and public health practitioner. Prior to joining this university, he served as a faculty member of anthropology at Rajshahi University and a lecturer of sociology at Dhaka International University in Bangladesh. Shah holds a PhD in medical anthropology from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. His research interest includes medical anthropology/sociology; health, illness and wellbeing; public health; health policy; healthcare manegemnt; healthcare leadership and governence; health system mangement; mental health, addictions and mangement; worlkplace, health and safety; environment health and adaptations; disabilty, equality and inclisive sustainable development; social psychology, applied mangement; project management; organizational beahaviour, business ethics; social enterprenurship, social history of gender evolution, and ethnicity, race and indiegenous communities ; applied indigenous knowledge; higher education policy, reformation and developmet.
