About 34 years research in INFS, University of Dhaka. Wide level of experience in areas of food compositional analysis, carbohydratebiochemistry and functionality, food perception and behaviour, food security, nutritional epidemiology, nutritional biochemistry, nutrition-health interaction, immunology, standardization of functionality methods, etc. Research Projects conducted are: i.) HPLC identification of polyphenols in local cereals and pseudograins (completed); ii) Compilation, and Updating the INFS’s Food Composition Table (FCT for Bangladesh 2013); iii) Development of a Computerized National Food Composition Databank (completed); iv) Pre- and post-cook nutrient analysis of Bangladeshi homemade foods and dishes (ongoing); v) NGOs’ Micro-credit Programmes for Poverty Alleviation: An Evaluation through Nutrition Indicators (completed)
