Md. Rabiul Islam, PhD is serving as a Professor at the Institute of Social Welfare and Research, University of Dhaka. Dr. Islam served as a visiting scholar of the School of Social Work, Monmouth University, USA from 07 May 2022 to 15 June 2022. He was the Fellow of the University of California, Berkeley, USA. He has received the fellowship training on Research Methodology and Writing and Publishing in the U.S from the University of California, Berkely, USA, 2016. Dr. Islam has also received training on Community Development from the Oxford University in 2019. Dr. Islam has published 38 research articles on different social and development issues of Bangladesh in National and International Research Journals. He published a research book from German. He has visited 20 countries to attend and participate in international conferences, seminars and workshops as a paper presenter, key note speaker and session chair. He has more than 25 years’ experience of teaching and research work. His areas of interests are ageing/gerontology, poverty and social exclusion, labor rights, climate change and disaster and community development. Dr. Islam has worked as a team leader, research member/consultant in different research projects in different national and international organizations.
