Spencer Mark Mondol commenced his career as a lecturer in the Department of Microbiology, University of Dhaka in March 2024, at a young age of 24. He holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Microbiology from the same department. Prior to his role at the University of Dhaka, he served as a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Brac University. Following the completion of his Master's degree, he contributed as a Research Assistant at the Microbial Genetics and Bioinformatics Laboratory (MGBL) for six months, engaging in various research projects.

Spencer Mark Mondol's primary research focus lies in investigating emerging antibiotic resistance and multidrug-resistant pathogens in Bangladesh. His research interests span across bacterial and viral genomics and proteomics, antimicrobial resistance mechanisms, bioinformatics, public health, metagenomics and microbiome research. Notably, Spencer has made significant contributions to the field, evidenced by his publication of numerous original research articles in reputable international peer reviewed journals. These publications underscore his profound dedication and enthusiasm for research.
