Gender socialization | Being a Sociology student I have a keen interest on gender socialization. I teach sociology and feminist critique of mainstream sociology in class. | |
Gender and demography | Demography and gender is one my area of research interest with special focus on gender and migration. I would like to see how migration help influence gender roles and identity. Also I look at the compatibility of gender studies and demography from a methodological view points. | |
Gender based violence | I have done few works on gender based violence particularly in urban settings of Bangladesh. Those works were funded by Social impacts, UNDP, Action Aid Bangladesh etc . Detail of the work is presented in the following section 'Project/research work' . I also give trainings/ teach classes in different professional sectors on this issued. Also participate in discussion in TV media. |
