Prof. & Dr. Jiemian YANG was the President of the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS) (2007-2013) and now is the Chairman of the SIIS Academic Advisory Council. Concurrently, Prof. Yang is Member of the Foreign Policy Advisory Group of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Board Member of the Shanghai Museum, Chairman of the International Advisory Board of Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum, Board Member of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs; academic advisor or guest professor at Peking University, Nanjing University, Fudan University and the like. His honors include National Honor of China World Expo in 2010, National Special Expert Awards, Shanghai Outstanding Talent Award and several Shanghai Awards in Social Sciences. Prof. Yang specializes in international system, major power relations and China’s foreign policies. He has (co-)authored about two dozen of books and 200 essays in Chinese and foreign academic journals on international relations and China foreign policies.
