Today (07 November 2022) a seminar was organized by DRTMC where Dr. Russell G. Thompson, Associate Professor, Department of Infrastructure Engineering, University of Melbourne, Australia presented the keynote paper on “Research and Academic Collaboration Opportunities with University of Melbourne”.
Professor Dr. Md. Zillur Rahman, dean of the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of Dhaka was present as chief guest and Professor Nasreen Rafiq, chairperson of the department of Geography and Environment, University of Dhaka as special guest in the seminar.
The seminar was Chaired by the Director of the Centre, Professor Dr. M. Shahidul Islam. Ms Zannatul Ferdous, Lecturer of the department of Geography and Environment, University of Dhaka moderated the seminar.
Professor Dr. Md. Humayun Kabir made a short introduction of the activities of the DRTMC. In the keynote session Dr. Russell G. Thompson, Associate Professor, Department of Infrastructure Engineering, University of Melbourne, Australia explained the importance of transport planning and application of high technology in urban disaster management. Professor Dr. M. Maksudur Rahman, Professor Dr. Kazi Md. Fazlul Haq, Dr. Asib Ahmed, Dr. Md. Faruk Hossain, Raisa Sultana, Nazmoon Nahar Sumiya and others took part in the discussion.
