The event began with a focus on China's environmental management experience, followed by a discussion on how to enhance collaboration, particularly between universities. Professor Li shared insights on China's advancements in solar energy, noting that the country’s significant investment in research and development has led to a sharp reduction in the cost of solar energy. He highlighted that many buildings in China, including those in rural areas, have solar panels installed for free by solar companies, with the income from power generation being shared between the companies and the building owners.
Professor Li suggested that Bangladesh, with its abundant sunshine, has immense potential for solar energy development. He emphasized that better collaboration between the two countries could be achieved through initiatives like student exchanges, scholarships, and joint research projects.
