Two MS Students of Batch 22 Got the 2022 ISCB Conference Award for Scientists
SRT is pleased to share the good news. Two master’s thesis students (batch 22), Saifur Rahman Mazumder and Suborna Sultana, who just completed their MS degree in Applied Statistics from ISRT, Dhaka University, have won this year’s the prestigious 2022 ISCB Conference Award for Scientists for their thesis works both supervised by Dr. Md Hasinur Rahaman Khan. Saifur’s work title was “Implementation of Lightgbm and XGBoost to Survival Data under AFT Models” and Suborna’s work title was “Disagreement Based Variable Selection Method for High-dimensional Censored Data”. ISRT family Congratulates them on their achievements! Only three such awards are given each year to all participants from the under-developing and developing countries worldwide by the International Society for Clinical Biostatistics (ISCB). Both will receive their awards at the 43-rd ISCB annual conference, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, during 21-25 August 2022.
