As part of professional development program, Department of Management, University of Dhaka will be hosting a guest speaker session in the area of HRM practices in the Ready-Made Garments (RMG) industry on Friday December 06, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM for the students of Masters of Professional HRM.

Our guest speaker sessions are designed to foster professional growth, equip attendees with cutting-edge HR practices, and explore the evolving trends in the human resource management landscape. The main purpose of these sessions is to create an opportunity for students to learn from industry experts and network with peers.

The topic of the upcoming session is “The HR Realm in the RMG Sector: Practices, Challenges & Potentials” with the aim of sharing insights, experiences, and knowledge between two distinguish HR professionals from RMG sector and students.

Our guest speakers of the session are:

• Mohammad Showket Iqbal, FCS, General Manager, HR, Epyllion Group
• Akter Ali, Manager, HRM Compliance, Indesore Sweater Limited

Each speaker will discuss the overall HR practices of their respective organizations, what are the pressing challenges in implementing HR policies in the garments industry and the competencies and skills they are looking for in the future executives whom they would like to hire in their corresponding organizations.
