This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. As Bangladesh was the first South Asian country to participate in this initiative, it（initiative）has led to the deepening of bilateral economic and trade cooperation and the strengthening of collaborations across various fields. These efforts have made positive contributions to promote economic and social development, as well as improving the livelihoods of the people of Bangladesh. The people-to-people exchanges has been frequently increasing, favorably promoting the mutual understanding and people-to-people bond between the two countries.

To celebrate this milestone, the Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka has invited Dr. Mostak Ahamed Galib to give a lecture titled "The 10th Anniversary of the “Belt and Road” Initiative: Achievements in Promoting People-to-People Bonds." He is the Director of the Inter-Cultural Communication and BRI Research Center at the School of Marxism in Wuhan University of Technology. He will share the impactful story of the Belt and Road Initiative's influence in Bangladesh with students and teachers.

      今年是“一带一路”倡议提出十周年。孟加拉国是第一个加入共建“一带一路”倡议的南亚国家，近年来，“一带一路”建设成果在孟加拉国大地上不断涌现，一座座地标性建设项目拔地而起，两国经贸合作不断深化，各领域合作得到加强，为促进孟加拉国经济社会发展和改善民生做出了积极贡献。与此同时，随着“一带一路”建设项目的不断推进，中孟两国人民的交流互动日渐频繁，人文领域合作也不断得到加强，有利地促进了两国民心相通。

      为庆祝“一带一路”倡议十周年，更好地总结共建“一带一路”给中孟民心相通带来的重要机遇和取得的成果，2023年8月23日，达卡大学孔子学院特邀武汉理工大学马克思主义学院跨文化与“一带一路”研究中心执行主任加力布博士（Dr. Mostak Ahamed Galib），以《“一带一路”倡议十周年：民心相通成果丰硕》为题，为孔院师生讲述“一带一路”在孟加拉国的动人故事。
