达卡孔院成功举办“一带一路”倡议十周年讲座Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka invited Dr. Galib to give a lecture on the 10th anniversary of "Belt and Road" Initiative
The morning of August 23, 2023, Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka successfully hosted a lecture in celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. The institute invited Dr. Mostak Ahamed Galib, Director of the Inter-Cultural Communication and BRI Research Center in Wuhan University of Technology, China, to give a lecture on “10th Anniversary of the “Belt and Road” Initiative: Achievements in Promoting People-to-People Bonds” for the faculty and students of Confucius Institute.
During the lecture, Dr. Galib introduced the fundamental connotations and significance of the Belt and Road Initiative. He shared his understandings and interpretations of Chinese ancient philosophy thoughts, such as "harmony in diversity" and "one tree does not make a forest". Furthermore, he explained how these thoughts have continued as an inheritance and developed within contemporary China. These reflective ideas can also be found in initiatives like the Belt and Road and the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind. While Dr. Galib also elaborated on the deep-rooted cooperation between China and Bangladesh in constructing the "Belt and Road," drawing parallels to historical events such as ancient Chinese monks Fa Xian and Xuan Zang's journey to Bangladesh, and Zheng He's voyages to the West. Bangladesh was the first South Asian country to participate in Belt and Road initiative, since then the initiative has led to the deepening of bilateral economic and trade cooperation and the strengthening of collaborations across various fields. These efforts have made positive contributions to promote economic and social development, as well as improving the livelihoods of the people of Bangladesh.
Dr. Galib expounded on the example of the Padma Bridge. Through his vivid examples of how the successful construction of the Padma Bridge has changed the lives of the Bangladeshi people, these cooperative projects have effectively promoted the people-to-people bond between the two countries.
The lecture ended with an interactive session between Dr. Galib and the students. Through this lecture, the students gained invaluable insights, enhanced their understanding of China and China-Bangladesh cooperation and deeply realized the far-reaching impact of the Belt and Road Initiative on the economic and social development of Bangladesh.
2023年8月23日上午，达卡大学孔子学院邀请武汉理工大学马克思主义学院跨文化与“一带一路”研究中心执行主任加力布博士(Dr. Mostak Ahamed Galib)来孔院交流，并以“‘一带一路’倡议十周年：民心相通成果丰硕”为题，为孔院师生带来了一场精彩的讲座。
讲座中，加力布博士介绍了“一带一路”倡议的基本内涵和意义，并分享了他对中国古代先贤哲学思想的理解，比如“和而不同”、“独木不成林”等，以及这些思想在当代中国的继承和发展，这些思想都能在“一带一路”倡议和人类命运共同体理念等中国为世界提供的公共产品中找到。他还从历史上中国古代高僧法显、玄奘和航海家郑和到访孟加拉等中孟人民友好交往的事件讲到了今天中孟两国共建“一带一路”的深入合作。孟加拉国是第一个加入“一带一路”倡议的南亚国家，近年来，“一带一路”建设成果在孟加拉国大地上不断涌现，一座座地标性建设项目拔地而起，两国经贸合作不断深化，各领域合作得到加强，为促进孟加拉国经济社会发展和改善民生做出了积极贡献。加力布博士还以帕德玛大桥为例，通过生动的例子讲述了帕德玛桥的成功建造如何改变孟加拉国人民的生活，这些合作项目切实地促进了两国民心相通。
讲座最后，加力布博士与学生们进行了互动交流，他对学生们提出的债务陷阱、就业率、贸易逆差、如何学好中国历史文化等问题进行了解答和交流。通过讲座，学生们收获颇丰，增强了对中国和中孟合作的理解，深刻地认识到“一带一路”倡议对孟加拉国经济社会发展的深远影响。
