Hong Kong Polytechnic University Council Chairman Dr. Tai-fai Lam Leads Delegation to Visit Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka香港理工大学校董会主席林大辉博士一行访问达卡大学孔子学院
2026年7月22日上午，香港理工大学校董会主席林大辉博士率团访问达卡大学孔子学院，受到孔院师生热烈欢迎。
访问期间，代表团深入中文课堂观摩现场教学，并与孔院师生进行亲切互动交流。代表团还听取了中方院长杨惠博士关于学院运营现状、发展特色、人才培养及文化交流活动的介绍。
林大辉博士一行对达卡大学孔子学院在推广中文教育、促进中孟人文交流方面所做的努力表示赞赏。双方就拓展两校在中文教育、学术研究及师生互访等领域的合作进行了深入探讨，期待未来建立更紧密的学术联系。
代表团成员还包括：香港理工大学副校长（学生及环球事务）杨立伟教授、香港孔子学院院长卢峭梅博士、香港理工大学环球事务处常务副总监倪颂熹先生及香港孔子学院行政主任符梦青女士。
On the morning of July 22, 2026, a delegation led by Dr. Tai-fai Lam, Council Chairman of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), visited the Confucius Institute at the University of Dhaka and was warmly received by the institute.
During the visit, the delegation observed Chinese language classes, engaged in friendly interactions with teachers and students, and listened to a briefing by the Chinese Director of the institute on its current operations, curriculum offerings, and cultural exchange activities.
Dr. Lam and his delegation spoke highly of the Confucius Institute at the University of Dhaka for its efforts in promoting Chinese language education and fostering people-to-people and cultural exchanges between China and Bangladesh. The two sides held in-depth discussions on expanding cooperation in areas such as Chinese language teaching, academic research, and faculty and student exchanges, expressing mutual interest in establishing closer academic ties in the future.
The delegation members included: Prof. Ben Young, Vice President (Student and Global Affairs) of PolyU; Prof. Maggie Lu, Director of the Confucius Institute of Hong Kong; Mr. Gavin Ngai, Deputy Director of Global Engagement; and Ms. Mengqing Fu, Executive Officer of the Confucius Institute of Hong Kong.
