Today, under HEAT Project 13032, we successfully organized a policy workshop on Inter-religious Harmony in Bangladesh in partnership with the Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (CIID), University of Dhaka. The workshop brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including policymakers, representatives from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, academics, journalists, religious scholars, NGO officials, members of different faith communities, a UNDP representative, and delegates from the U.S. Embassy. We sincerely thank all participants for their cordial cooperation and active engagement.
We were honored to have Professor Dr. Md. Abdus Salam, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic), as the Chief Guest. Professor Dr. Abul Kalam Sarker and Professor Dr. Kazi Nurul Islam attended as Special Guests in the workshop. The session was presided over by Professor Dr. Md. Abu Sayem, Chairman of the Department, while Professor Dr. Mohammad Elius, Director of CIID, delivered the welcome address.
The first session, focused on ideation and mind mapping, was moderated by the Project’s ASPM, @Niloy Roy. The second session- focused on notes from guests was moderated by @Debashis Das, Member 1 of the project. Dr. Eva Sadia Saad delivered the vote of thanks.
