Dhaka University Centre of Excellence in Teaching & Learning (CoETL, DU) organized a workshop amongst the teachers on “Research methodology & Project proposals” in a virtual platform on the 19th of January, 2022.
Professor Dr. Sabita Rezwana Rahman (Director) presided over the Workshop and delivered the welcome speech. Dr. A.T.M. Shamsuzzoha (Additional Director) conducted the noted workshop.
Dr. Md. Ziaur Rahman (Professor, Dept. of Criminology & Dean, Faculty of Social Science, University of Dhaka) and Dr. Mohammad Thoufiqul Islam (Professor, Dept. of Management, University of Dhaka) spoke on “How to Write a Ph.D. Proposal” and “How to Write a Project Proposal” respectively in the session.
The facilitators focused on systematic ways to solve a research problem and explained ‘how a study is done scientifically’. Drafting a research proposal and the critical points in writing both research grant and PhD proposal was discussed. The concept of a good academic writing becomes clear. Also this session highlighted strategies to uphold research project worthwhile.
It may be mentioned that the DU, CoETL successfully organizes series of workshops throughout the year on a regular basis for the faculty (teachers) and officers of the University of Dhaka for achieving Quality Higher Education.
