Welcome to the Center for Urban Resilience Studies (CURS) at the University of Dhaka. The Center is dedicated to advancing research, knowledge, and practical solutions for building safer, more resilient, and sustainable urban environments in Bangladesh. As cities continue to grow rapidly, urban communities face increasing risks from climate change, earthquakes, flooding, infrastructure stress, environmental degradation, and unplanned development. In this context, urban resilience has become essential for protecting lives, strengthening infrastructure, supporting sustainable development, and improving the capacity of cities to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters.
