The Department of Fisheries has two funds where one for the excellent academic performance at graduate level and another for postgraduate (MS) level. The funds
were initiated and financed by the Honorary Professor and the founder of the Department Professor M Shafi and the fund for Undergraduate has been named after the name of the parents of Professor Shafi as ‘Ameena Latif Trust Fund’ opened in 2010 and for postgraduate as ‘Professor M Shafi Trust Fund’ opened in 2011. From
both of the funds a certificate and financial support are provided in presence of honourable Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor and Treasurer along with the faculty members of the Department at Vice Chancellor office every year.
