Partnership Formed Between ICSB and the Department of Management, University of Dhaka
A landmark partnership has been established between the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) and the Department of Management at the University of Dhaka to foster professional development and unlock new career opportunities for students in corporate governance and company secretarial practices.
A special program titled "Unlocking the Potential with ICSB: A Journey of Professional Experience" was held on 14 January 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Professor Dr. Abdullah Farouk Multipurpose Hall, MBA Building, Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka. The event featured a keynote presentation by Mr. Abul Fazal Mohamed Rubayat FCS, Chairman of the Education Committee at ICSB, and remarks by Mr. M Nurul Alam FCS, Senior Vice President & Acting President of ICSB; Mr. A. K. M. Mushfiqur Rahman FCS, Vice President of ICSB; and Mr. Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun FCS, Treasurer of ICSB; Mr. Muhammad Rony Islam ACS, Assistant General Manager, Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC.
The session was further enriched by the presence of Mohammad Abdul Jabber, Associate Professor; Tahmina Khanam, Associate Professor; Razib Hossain, Lecturer; and Nazmus Sakib, Lecturer, from the Department of Management, University of Dhaka, who were honored during the event for their contributions to academic excellence.
The Chief Guest, Professor Md. Ali Akkas, Guest of Honor Professor Dr. Faruq Ahmed, and Professor Dr. Mohammad Thoufiqul Islam, Chairman of the Department of Management, University of Dhaka, highlighted the significance of this partnership in shaping future leaders. During the event, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed, formalizing this collaboration and ensuring long-term engagement between the institutions.
This partnership bridges academia and the professional world, offering students access to specialized knowledge, workshops, seminars, and mentorship programs designed to enhance employability and professional growth.
