Launching of DigiHub Lab and Student's Services for Students
The Department of Management Information Systems (MIS) at Dhaka University proudly unveiled its latest achievements, the DigiHub Lab and the Student Services Center, on July 6th, 2023. These state-of-the-art facilities were developed with the vision of creating a student-centric learning environment catering to the ever-evolving needs of MIS students.
The DigiHub Lab, christened by Dr. Rabeya Sultana, is set to become a hub of innovation and digital transformation. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, the lab aims to foster creativity, problem-solving skills, and research opportunities for students pursuing Management Information Systems.
Dr. Mohammad Anisur Rahman, the mastermind behind the Student Services Center, envisions it as a one-stop solution for all academic and administrative services. The center aims to streamline student support, offering guidance, counseling, and various resources to aid their educational journey.
The IT Committee of the MIS department oversaw the construction and development of these facilities. The committee's efforts, along with the generous funding from the EMBA Program Office of the MIS department, ensured the realization of this ambitious project.
The success of the DigiHub Lab and the Student Services Center would not have been possible without the dedicated contributions of two bright minds from the 15th Batch, Ludmila, and Fazlur. Their exceptional talent in design and decoration added a touch of aesthetic brilliance to the facilities.
Not to be forgotten, Fatima from the 14th Batch also played a crucial role, providing invaluable insights and ideas that shaped the overall development of the lab and the center.
Dr. Rabeya Sultana, the head of the Department of Management Information Systems, expressed her gratitude to all: faculty members, staff, students, and the builders involved in making this vision a reality. She emphasized the department's commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders in the field of MIS, and these new facilities are a testament to that commitment.
