Delegation from West Yunnan University Visits University of Dhaka to Discuss Educational Cooperation滇西科技师范学院代表团访问达卡大学共商教育合作
2026年8月24日，滇西科技师范大学副校长张雁梅教授率团一行五人到访孟加拉国达卡大学。孔子学院中方院长杨惠全程陪同，代表团先后拜会达卡大学校长（Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Obaidul Islam）教授、参访现代语言学院并走访达卡大学孔子学院。
2026年8月24日，滇西科技师范大学副校长张雁梅教授率团一行五人到访孟加拉国达卡大学。孔子学院中方院长杨惠全程陪同，代表团先后拜会达卡大学校长（Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Obaidul Islam）教授、参访现代语言学院并走访达卡大学孔子学院。
当天，代表团还专程访问达卡大学孔子学院，听取孔院发展历程与成果介绍，并就未来拓展合作空间交换意见。
此前一日（8月23日），在杨惠院长陪同下，代表团还访问了文 科大学（University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh, ULAB），与该校校长莫图扎(Prof. Dr.Shamsad Mortuza)教授及孟加拉语系教师举行座谈。
此次访问高效务实。达卡大学孔子学院将充分发挥中孟人文交流桥梁作用，积极做好对接服务，助力中孟高校在语言教学、学科共建及师生交流等方面推进深度合作。
On August 24, 2026, a five-member delegation led by Professor Zhang Yanmei, Vice President of West Yunnan University, visited the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh. Accompanied by Dr. Yang Hui, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Dhaka, the delegation paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Dhaka, Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Obaidul Islam, visited the Institute of Modern Languages and the Confucius Institute.
During the meeting with the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Dhaka, the two sides exchanged in-depth views on topics including discipline alignment, student exchange programs, joint training, and research collaboration, and engaged in constructive discussions on relevant areas of potential cooperation. Subsequently, the delegation visited the Institute of Modern Languages to discussed matters related to students from the newly established Bengali undergraduate program at West Yunnan University pursuing studies in Bangladesh.
On the same day, the delegation also made a special visit to the Confucius Institute at the University of Dhaka, where they received an overview of the Institute's development history and achievements, and exchanged views on future expansion of collaborative efforts.
The previous day (August 23), accompanied by Director Yang Hui, the delegation also visited the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) and held talks with its Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Shamsad Mortuza, and faculty members from the Department of Bengali.
The visit was efficient and pragmatic. The Confucius Institute at the University of Dhaka will continue to serve as a bridge for China-Bangladesh people-to-people exchanges, actively facilitate follow-up services, and support deeper cooperation between Chinese and Bangladeshi universities in language teaching, joint discipline development, and the mobility of faculty and students.
