PMICS 1st Batch Students' Annual Picnic 2024 to Subarnagram Amusement Park and Resort

On February 26th, 2024, the inaugural batch of the Professional Masters in Information and Cyber Security (PMICS) program, under the auspices of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), University of Dhaka, embarked on an exhilarating journey to Subarnagram Amusement Park and Resort, Bhulta, Narayanganj. This annual picnic provided an opportunity for students, teachers, instructors, co-instructors and staff members to unwind, bond, and create lasting memories outside the academic setting.

Activities: The day was filled with a myriad of exciting activities designed to cater to the diverse interests of participants:

1. Adventure Rides: Students indulged in thrilling rides, including roller coasters, horse carriage, safari ride, bumper cars and so many exciting rides providing an adrenaline rush and moments of sheer excitement. Children came with their parents (Students or Teachers) also enjoyed the rides and activities of the park.
2. Water Park Fun: The water park offered a refreshing escape with attractions such as speed-boat ride, safari park adventures.
3. Outdoor Games: Friendly competitions and team-building activities, such as cricket, football, and pillow passing of females, chair sitting games for the teachers promoted teamwork among students, teachers, and staff members. Also there some gift events for the children also.

Event’s Description:

The day began with the excitement of embarking on a memorable journey, commencing at 8:30am sharp as we boarded the iconic BRTC red-colored bus. Brimming with anticipation and camaraderie, students, teachers, and staff of the Professional Masters in Information and Cyber Security (PMICS) program set off for a day of adventure and bonding.

Our first stop was the renowned Radhuni restaurant, nestled in the vibrant Gausia Market at Bhulta, where we relished a hearty breakfast, fueling ourselves for the day ahead.

With spirits high and stomachs content, we proceeded to our ultimate destination, the picturesque Subarnagram Amusement Park and Resort, arriving at 11 AM. Upon entering the park, we were greeted by the warm embrace of lush greenery and a myriad of exciting possibilities.

Eager to kick-start the festivities, a friendly cricket match ensued with teachers and students, echoing with cheers and laughter as we showcased our sporting prowess.

Following a moment of tranquility and reflection with the Johr prayer, we gathered at a charming Chinese restaurant overlooking a serene pond to savor a delectable lunch, indulging in a culinary journey of flavors.

Rejuvenated and energized, we delved into a series of engaging events and games, culminating in an exhilarating raffle draw that left us all on the edge of our seats.

With laughter echoing and spirits soaring, we embarked on a leisurely exploration of the park, immersing ourselves in a plethora of thrilling rides and attractions that left us breathless with excitement.

As the day drew to a close, we bid farewell to Subarnagram with fond memories and satisfied hearts, indulging in evening snacks before boarding our trusty red bus for the journey homeward.
