Welcome to the Department of Organization Strategy & Leadership, Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka, with a vision to be a center of excellence for education, research and advocacy on Strategy, Organizational Leadership, Innovation, Entrepreneurship Development and Change Management in Asia.

The economy of Bangladesh has created a strategic position for itself in the world and has been continuing an upward trajectory of development. The most lucrative opportunity for this surprising nation is to ensure a knowledge based human resource by capitalizing on its demographic dividend. In order to create and disseminate knowledge and expertise on strategy & leadership to foster organizational sustainability and growth, the Department of Organization Strategy & Leadership (OSL) started its journey in the year 2016 under the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka. The programs of the department include key components designed to help the students develop skills and expertise for leading an organization, motivating people and mobilizing teams to making strategic decisions and developing and implementing short and long-term strategies.

Currently, the Department offers Undergraduate, Graduate and Postgraduate programs with a clear philosophy to develop students in line with Six (06) core focus areas e.g. Strategy; Leadership; Innovation; Change Management; Negotiation and Entrepreneurship. The Curriculum are developed after taking insights and suggestions from the industry leaders through “stakeholder consultations on curriculum development”, a regular program of the OSL department to ensure our curriculum are aligned with industry needs and requirements. The department offers Ph.D and M.phil degrees to suitable candidates under the supervision of distinguished faculty members who are internationally acclaimed researchers in their specialized areas. In response to the socioeconomic demands, the Department of Organization Strategy & Leadership have launched Master of Business Administrative (Evening) program in 2017 toward the vision of developing a pool of transformational “Strategic Leadership” and “Entrepreneurs both public and private sectors of the country.
