|Non-equilibrium Statistical Physics||
My main research areas are problems which are far from equilibrium. In particular, I have been involved in the study of a number of non-equilibrium phenomena, including kinetics of aggregation, fragmentation, deposition, nucleation and growth processes, percolation theory, fractal and multifractal theory and complex network theory. At present, my main goal is to give a thermodynamic formalism to the percolation theory. To this end, I already have made some progress but still a mile to go. I have published 18 articles in the Physical Review E; 5 articles in Chaos, Solitons and Fractals; 4 in Physica A; 3 in J. of Phys. A; 2 in Phys. Lett. A; 2 in Eur. Phys. J. sp. topics; 1 in each of NJP, Scientific rep., j. phys. Conf. series, 2 in local journals. Total 39 journal articles and 1 book on fractal and multifractal published by CRC of Taylor and Francis.
Since 2009 I have collaborated in research with over 40 students, and many of these projects have resulted in publications in the reputed journals like Physical Review E, Chaos, solitons and Fractals etc. with students as co-authors. I am proud that collaborative research with students is a hallmark of my research.
