Dr Shuchita Sharmin is a professor of Development Studies. Here she started her career as a lecturer in 2003 and progressively promoted to an Assistant professor, Associate Professor and Professor. She completed her BSc and MSc from Dhaka university in Psychology and obtained the 1st position in the 1st class in both the examinations. She is PhD in Development Studies. She obtained a Certificate of Advanced studies in Disaster Risk Reduction jointly conducted by EPFL, Switzerland and IISc Bengaluru, India. As a Doctoral Research Scholar, she conducted research on Corporate Community Involvement; Scale up and Governance in Aston University, UK. Dr Sharmin was a Research Scholar in Kyushu University, Japan and there she successfully completed Intensive Japanese Language course and conducted research in the Department of Behavioral and Health Sciences. She has experience of undergraduate and postgraduate university lecturing and/or research in Bangladesh, Japan, Switzerland, UK, Nepal, Malaysia and India. She has extensive research experience with the Government, local NGOs, UN agencies and INGOs in the capacity of an academic and a commissioned researcher in different areas of development studies, psychology, organization/ business studies, etc. She has above 45 articles and 3 books published.
