Debashis Das currently serves as a lecturer at the Department of World Religions and Culture, University of Dhaka. In addition, he contributes to the vibrant community of the historic Jagannath Hall at the University of Dhaka, working as an Assistant House Tutor. His intellectual horizons traverse both Oriental and Occidental academia, showcasing a profound curiosity that fuels his learning objectives. He possesses an unalloyed scholarly interest in disciplines such as philosophy, religion, history, culture, music, sociology, politics, secularisation, counter-terrorism, and other related areas. He senses the classroom as a dynamic atmosphere that promotes profound engagement with complex ideas and challenges conventional thinking, accepting a variety of perspectives. His teaching approach encourages interdisciplinary and self-directed learning, preparing students to become critical thinkers and skilled global citizens.
Beyond his role as an educator, he engages in performing arts as a performer and actively participates in cultural activism.
