The Institute of Nutrition and Food Science (INFS), established in 1969, is dedicated to the advancement of nutrition and food science research. Our mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and populations of our country as well as global health through our research, education, and policy outreach activities.
The courses are designed to provide knowledge and experiential learning in nutrition and community health as well as food sciences. In addition, to provide a practical learning experience, students are required to undergo training in various government and non-government agencies as well as in the food industry. Graduates from our BS, MS, M.Phil and PhD programs work in a variety of fields: government sector, academic and research institutes, community nutritionists, private industry, and more.
I look forward to working with the faculty and administration of INFS to provide an even better teaching and research environment for our students. It has been exciting and rewarding to work with the students of the Institute so far, and I look forward to continuing that relationship in the future.
I invite you to spend a few moments with us as we highlight the wide range of research opportunities available in the INFS, where you will discover more about the Institute and the individuals working to advance the highest standards of research and education in the field of nutrition and food science.
