Ahmed Tijani Ben Omar, Advisor of Islamic Studies and Research Association (ISSRA), USA and President & Imam of Universal Islamic Center, USA called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique today December 27, 2015 at the latter’s office of the university. Dean of the Faculty of Arts, DU Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman was present on this occasion.

During the meeting they discussed various issues including Sufism,  Teachings and Values of Islam and inter-faith activities. Ahmed Tijani Ben Omar said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman upheld the spirits and values of Islam. Bangabandhu was the greatest and foremost hero of his time. He is still the inspiration for us and Muslim Ummah, Ahmed Tijani Ben Omar pointed out.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique thanked the guest for his visit to Dhaka University and keen interest in working for world peace. DU VC presented University Crest to Ahmed Tijani Ben Omar.
