Introduction to the faculty

Welcome to the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Dhaka! The Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences was founded in 2008. The faculty includes five departments, namely Department of Geography and Environment, Department of Geology, Department of Oceanography, Department of Disaster Science and Climate Resilience, and Department of Meteorology. Bangladesh, being the most populated delta in the world, possesses unique natural resources and faces a range of environmental challenges. Our faculty plays a crucial role in understanding and addressing these issues of the country through achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, Vision 2041, and the Delta Plan 2100.
