| To Build Music Researcher for Bengali Music | Concurrent development of education and culture is the basis for a well-rounded developed country. For many years, I have been conducting various projects which include publishing journals, researching methodologies, and performing and managing musical programs, in order to improve the cultural practice of our nation. Our heritage is our identity, and I believe it is our duty to carry our traditions forward. Thus, the focus of my research is to accelerate cultural education in our society.
Research on music theory is very limited in our country. Oftentimes, we rely on research conducted by other nations which fails to correspond to our own type of music. For example, research on Bengali folk music would be very different compared to West Bengali folk music. Therefore, it is also in my interest to increase research in every discipline of our traditional music.
