Molecular Ecology, Biodiversity and Conservation | My research mainly focuses on the ecological assessment of aquatic ecosystems using various genomic tools (barcoding, metabarcoding and metagenomics) along with classical techniques. I am particularly interested in generating and analyzing biodiversity data for freshwater macroinvertebrates and fish. My research interests underscore their genetic documentaion to evaluate their current status (taxonomic, functional and phylogenetic) and to enhance the rapid and reliable monitoring and conservation apporaches. I am also keen to address the isuue that how different anthropogenic stressors influence the species distribution, composition and community structures across the diverse habitats. |
