Bellal Ahmed Bhuiyan is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy (on Study Leave) at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is currently pursuing Ph.D. in Media Ethics at the University of Delhi as an ICCR (Indian Council For Cultural Relations) Scholar. Mr. Bhuiyan has previously served as Lecturer at the Department of Philosophy, at Jagannath University, Bangladesh. He also worked as an adjunct faculty member at several private universities in Bangladesh. He completed his graduate and post-graduate degrees from the Department of Philosophy, the University of Dhaka in 2012 and 2013 respectively.

Mr. Bhuiyan’s areas of interest are applied philosophy, political philosophy, and aesthetics. His research mainly focuses on applied ethical areas such as media ethics, environmental philosophy, professional ethics, and administrative ethics. He has contributed a good number of research articles to prominent national philosophical journals. His administrative experience includes serving as a House Tutor in Bijoy Ekattor Hall, University of Dhaka for more than seven years. He participated in professional workshops, seminars, and training in India and Bangladesh.

Apart from academic activities, Bellal Ahmed Bhuiyan is actively engaged in various social welfare organizations in Bangladesh. He is associated with the Asiatic Society of Bangladesh (ASB), Bangladesh Philosophical Society (BPS), Dhaka University Alumni Association (DUAA), Dhaka University Philosophy Department Alumni Association (DUPDAA), Haji Muhammad Muhsin Hall Alumni Association etc. He is determined to work for the mass people for a prosperous, just, and humanitarian society.
