BADHAN, the "Amar Ekushey Hall" unit, achieved a significant milestone by successfully organizing our annual event, the "Fresher's Reception and Donor's Felicitation Ceremony," on November 1, 2023. Alongside this program, the unit awarded the Ekushey Hall Trust Fund Scholarship to 10 deserving students and revived the Provost Award ceremony after a hiatus of 16 years.
During the event, we proudly honored 21 meritorious students from Amar Ekushey Hall who secured the top positions in their BS or MS examinations held in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Remarkably, 6 out of these 21 former students have joined our ranks as colleagues at Dhaka University.
In addition, three students received the Provost Award for their outstanding achievements in extracurricular activities. Congratulations to all the awardees; your accomplishments make us immensely proud.
The unveiling of the first edition of the Hall Magazine, "Ekush," was another highlight of the event. We extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to the editorial board members for their hard work and dedication.
We express our deep appreciation to Professor Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, the honorable treasurer of Dhaka University and convenor of the Trust Fund Committee, for sparing his valuable time for our program.
Furthermore, we extend our highest gratitude to Professor Dr. Md Akhtaruzzaman, the Honourable Vice Chancellor of the University, for gracing the occasion as the chief guest despite his busy schedule on November 1. Your presence added immense value to the event.
