On the morning of June 9, 2024, the Bangladesh Young Leaders Delegation to China visited the National Museum of China, where they toured the exhibition themed “Road to Rejuvenation” and gained an encompassing and systematic understanding of China's development path and rejuvenation journey. The exhibition reviewed China's arduous explorations of a road to national rejuvenation since the Opium War in 1840, when China lapsed into a semi-colonial and semi-feudal society. During the visit, the delegation further deepened their understanding of the relentless efforts of the Chinese nation to pursue national rejuvenation, as well as China's development from standing up and growing prosperous.
On the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited the China Soong Ching Ling Science and Culture Center for Young People, where they had an immersive experience of traditional Chinese culture. They participated in such activities as wearing Han-style clothing, learning about the costumes and etiquette of different dynasties, and engaging in face-to-face exchanges with Chinese youth, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the profound and extensive traditional Chinese culture. Later, they personally experienced the traditional Chinese folk custom of making "Zongzi" (rice dumplings) by learning about how to make Zongzi, getting to know the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival culture in China.
Accompanying the delegation were Feng Yin, Deputy Director of the International Training Department and Cadre Qiao Xin from the CICG Institute of International Studies and Advanced Training, Li Hongmei, Executive Deputy Director of the Center for China Studies (CCS), and Zhu Shicheng, Cadre from the Department of Research Management of the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS).
