Our Economics books are full of graphs and mathematical models. But how do these things define our day-to-day lives? Who pays for our coffee? What is the relationship between Happiness and Economics? Why is it called dismal science? All these questions can be baffling for someone who has just entered the world of economics. Economists at home and abroad have come forward to help the youthful, inquisitive minds in this matter.
To help our students understand economics beyond graphs and data, Economics Study Center is organising a book review competition for the students of the University of Dhaka. Students may choose to write a review on any ONE of the following books:
1. "The Undercover Economist" by Tim Harford
2. "আজব ও জবর - আজব অর্থনীতি" by আকবর আলী খান
Deadline: Wednesday, December 28, 2022, 11:59 PM
Email your submissions to: escblogdu@gmail.com
Prize:
1. 1st and 2nd place winners will receive certificates and books from Economics Study Center.
2. The Best Review (1st place winners) for each book will be published in ESC's annual publication, Ceteris Paribus - Volume 6.
