Newly appointed Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Mr. Pranay Verma called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman today January 10, 2023 at the latter’s office of the university. Attaché (Education) Mr. Jayanta Bakshi and Second Secretary Mr. Vaibhav Sunil Gondane of  Indian High Commission, DU Registrar Probir Kumar Sarker, Provost of Jagannath Hall Prof. Dr. Mihir Lal Saha and Director of  DU Public Relations Office Mahmood Alam were present on this occasion.

            During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interest. They exchanged views about strengthening of ongoing academic and research collaborations among DU and Indian Universities. They emphasized on enhancement of exchange of faculties and students. Exploration of new avenues of mutual collaborations especially the possibilities of signing more MoUs between DU and Indian leading universities were also discussed in the meeting.

            Welcoming Indian High Commissioner Mr. Pranay Verma DU VC Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman apprised  him of academic programs of DU and hoped that the bilateral friendly relations would be further strengthened by undertaking more joint collaborative academic and research programs among DU and Indian universities.

            DU VC Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman thanked Indian High Commissioner Mr. Pranay Verma for his visit to and keen interest in promoting collaborations with Dhaka University.
