A 16-member delegation of the Asia Foundation led by its President Laurel E. Miller paid a courtesy call on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman on January 25, 2023 at the latter’s office of the university.

DU Vice-Chancellor apprised the delegation members of a brief history of Dhaka University and its academic and research programs. This largest and oldest public university of the country had played pioneering role in our great Liberation War in 1971 and historic Language Movement in 1952, he added. Dhaka University has about 4 hundred MoUs with renowned universities across the world to conduct joint collaborative academic and research programs, he also mentioned.

The Vice-Chancellor thanked the guests for their visit to Dhaka University and keen interest in its academic and research activities.
