Charles Darwin University VC calls on DU VC

            Vice-Chancellor and President of Charles Darwin University (CDU) of Australia Prof. Dr. Scott Bowman called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman today March 13, 2023 at the latter’s office of the university. He was accompanied by Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dominic Upton, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Suresh Thennadil, Vice-President Shannon Holborn, Dean of the College of Indigenous Futures, Education and the Arts Prof. Ruth Wallace and Executive Officer Rebecca Marrone of the same university.

            Treasurer of DU Prof. Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed and Registrar Probir Kumar Sarker were present on this occasion.

During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interest specially the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs on engineering, information technology, energy, public health and policy, disaster management and environment between the University of Dhaka and Charles Darwin University of Australia. They also discussed about the possibilities of introducing joint degree programs between these two universities. Arranging seminar, symposium, workshop and training programs under the joint auspices of DU and CDU were also discussed in the meeting. 

            DU VC Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman thanked the guests for their visit to and keen interest in undertaking joint academic and research programs with Dhaka University.
