ভাষাবিজ্ঞান বিভাগের শিক্ষার্থী আসিফ মাহমুদ সজিব ভূঁইয়া অন্তবর্তীকালীন সরকারের যুব ও ক্রীড়া এবং শ্রম ও কর্মসংস্থান মন্ত্রণালয়ের উপদেষ্টা হিসেবে নিয়োগ পাওয়ায় বিভাগের পক্ষ থেকে এক সংবর্ধনা অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজনা করা হয় ।অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে ছিলেন ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মাননীয় ভিসি অধ্যাপক ড. নিয়াজ আহমদ খান, কলা অনুষদের সম্মানিত ডিন অধ্যাপক ড. মো. ছিদ্দিকুর রহমান খান, অনুষ্ঠানের আহবায়ক অধ্যাপক ড. মুহাম্মদ আসাদুজ্জামান এবং অনুষ্ঠানে সভাপতিত্ব করেন বিভাগের চেয়ারপার্সন ড. মনিরা বেগম। এ সংবর্ধনা অনুষ্ঠানে ভাষাবিজ্ঞান বিভাগের শিক্ষকবৃন্দ, শিক্ষার্থীরা ও বিভিন্ন বিভাগের শিক্ষকবৃন্দ উপস্থিত ছিলেন। (A reception program was organized by the Department of Linguistics to honour Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, a student of the department, on his appointment as an advisor to the interim government’s Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Labor and Employment. The event was graced by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University, Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan, as the Chief Guest. Other esteemed guests included Professor Dr. Md. Siddiqur Rahman Khan, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and the event's convener was Professor Dr. Muhammad Asaduzzaman. The Chairperson of the Department, Dr. Monira Begam, presided over the ceremony. Faculty members and students from the Department of Linguistics, alongside teachers from other departments, were also in attendance at the event.)
