Seminar| “From Buyer Requirements to Shipment: The Realities of Global Operations Management”
The 29th Batch of the Department of Management, University of Dhaka, successfully organized an insightful seminar today, 11 October 2026, featuring Dr. Kanta Sharmin, Regional Operations Leader for Southeast Asia & Africa at Carter’s, Inc., under the guidance of Mr. Md. Nazmus Sakib, Assistant Professor, Department of Management, University of Dhaka.
The session opened with a welcome address by Mr. Md. Nazmus Sakib Sir, followed by a crest and bouquet presentation to our esteemed guest speaker.
Dr. Kanta Sharmin shared valuable industry insights into the production journey. From buyer requirements to final shipment, she highlighted operational planning, supply chain coordination, modern operations concerns, delivery commitments, and the practical challenges of global operations management in our RMG sector.
The interactive Q&A session allowed students to engage with the speaker, to find answers to their questions from the perspective of an industry expert. The session closed its curtains with the distribution of certificates of participation.
