On February 18th, 2023, the Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka held a cultural exhibition featuring Chinese tea art and Chinese painting in front of the "China Book House" at the DhakaAmar Ekushey Boi Mela. His Excellency Mr. Yao Wen, the Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh, accompanied by the former Bangladeshi Ambassador to China Mr. Mahbub Uz Zaman, the cultural counsellor of the Chinese Embassy Mr. Lue Liwen, and Second Secretary Mrs. Lang Lang, visited the book fair.
During the event, Ms. Nilu Akter, a local Chinese language teacher from the Confucius Institute at the University of Dhaka, performed Chinese tea art, while student Aung Kyonu Marma drew Chinese paintings on the spot. These activities attracted many Bangladeshi visitors to the book fair to taste tea, and the paintings drawn on-spot were given as gifts to Bangladeshi young readers who visited the "China Book House" at Amar Ekushey Boi Mela.
H.E. Ambassador Mr. Yao Wen and the former Bangladeshi Ambassador to China Mr. Zaman together visited the "China Book House". At that time, Ambassador Mr. Yao Wen introduced book collections displayed in the bookstore and presented beautiful Children’s books introducing Chinese New Year customs to Bangladeshi young kids. Nilu Akter, Local Chinese Language Teacher from Confucius Institute at Du, served tea to Ambassador Yao and Mr. Zaman, while student of the CI at DU presented an improvised painting as a gift to the ambassadors. Ambassador Mr. Yao Wen had a cordial exchange with the teachers and students of the Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka, He encouraged the students to learn Chinese well and make a positive contribution to the broad prospects of China-Bangladesh cooperation.
"China Book House" was the only exhibition booth established by the Embassy at this year's Amar Ekushey Boi Mela, and the Confucius Institute at the University of Dhaka was one of the co-organizers, actively cooperating with the display and introduction of the "China Book House" at the book fair. The cultural activities arranged at the book fair this time have provided a great opportunity for more Bangladeshi individuals to experience Chinese culture.
2023年2月18日，达卡孔院在孟“二月书展”的“中国书屋”前举办中国茶艺、中国画等文化展示活动。中国驻孟加拉国大使姚文在孟原驻华大使马赫布·乌兹·扎曼（Mahbub Uz Zaman）、中国驻孟使馆文化处参赞乐利文、二秘郎琅等人陪同下参观书展，并与孔院师生亲切互动。
姚文大使在孟原驻华大使扎曼陪同下来到了“中国书屋”前。他向扎曼先生介绍书屋内展示的各类图书，并向当地小读者赠送了介绍中国新年习俗的精美立体图书。孔院老师妮鲁向姚文大使和扎曼大使献茶，孔院学生安图向大使赠送了现场即兴创作的绘画作品。姚文大使与孔院师生亲切交流，他勉励孔院的同学们学好汉语，并在前景广阔的中孟合作中有所作为。
此次活动中，达卡孔院展示了中国茶艺和中国画。达卡孔院本土教师妮鲁进行了优雅娴熟的茶艺表演，从洗杯、泡茶、分茶到敬茶、品茶，一系列的展示如行云流水般，给人带来美的享受。茶香飘逸，引得众多参观书展的孟加拉民众前来品茗。达卡孔院学生安图现场创作中国画，不论是山水、花鸟还是人物画都尽显中国传统绘画的独特意境和别有韵味。现场创作的一幅幅画作被作为礼物送给了前来“中国书屋”的孟加拉国读者。
据悉，“二月书展”始于上世纪70年代，意在纪念孟国拉国语言运动的先驱。书展每年由孟加拉学院主办，为期一个月，是孟历史悠久、规模最大、影响最广泛和最受欢迎的文化盛会。“中国书屋”是本届书展唯一由使馆设立和最受欢迎的展位，达卡大学孔子学院是协办方之一，积极配合“中国书屋”的展示和介绍工作。此次配合书展组织的文化活动，通过展示、讲解、交流、体验、互动等方式，让更多孟加拉国朋友近距离体验了中国文化。
