Bengali online course offered to Chinese enterprises by Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka started达卡孔院孟加拉语线上课程正式开课
On the evening of April 17, 2024, the Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka held the opening ceremony of the online Bengali language course offered to some Chinese enterprises in Bangladesh. Chinese learners and representatives from Chinese enterprises in Bangladesh and teachers from Confucius Institute attended the online opening ceremony. After the ceremony, the two classes began.
During the opening ceremony, Dr.Yang Hui, the Chinese director of the Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka, introduced the intention and goal of the pilot project to open Bengali language courses for some Chinese enterprises. She said that the Confucius Institute has always been committed to enhancing mutual learning between Chinese and other languages in the world. She hopes that this Bengali language course can help Chinese employees to enhance communication and understanding with Bangladeshi colleagues and partners to better integrate into the local community.
Representatives of Chinese enterprises fully affirmed the significance of the Bengali language learning program for enterprises to take root in the local society, hoping to gain an in-depth understanding of the local culture through language learning, strengthen personnel exchanges between China and Bangladesh, and consolidate the cultural foundation of China-Bangladesh cooperation.
This course is a pilot project, which will last for 8 weeks, a total of 32 class hours. During this period, Chinese learners will learn some basic Bengali for daily conversation, including greetings, family, address, place, asking for directions, time and date, shopping, seasons, weather, food, festivals and other topics.
2024年4月17日晚，达卡大学孔子学院面向部分在孟中资企业提供的孟加拉语线上课程举行开课仪式，中国电建、中国交建、华电海投等部分在孟中资企业中方代表和孔子学院教师在线参加了开课仪式。仪式结束后，两个孟语班正式开课。
开课仪式上，达卡大学孔子学院中方院长杨惠介绍了此次面向部分中资企业开设孟加拉语课程试点项目的初衷和目标。她表示，孔院一直致力于加强中文与世界其他语言的交流，促进语言互学互通，希望通过本次孟加拉语课程项目，帮助中资企业员工掌握当地语言，更好地融入当地社会，增进与孟加拉合作伙伴之间的沟通与理解，为企业的发展注入新的动力与活力。
中国交建孟加拉分公司总经理庞明、中国电建孟加拉代表处能源矿产部负责人田野和华电海外投资有限公司、孟加拉华新电力有限公司总经理刘沛进行了发言。他们表示，随着中孟经贸合作不断深化，中方员工学习孟语的需求不断增加。他们充分肯定了此次孟语学习项目对于企业扎根当地的重要意义，希望通过语言学习，深入了解当地文化，加强中孟人员交流，夯实中孟经贸合作的人文基础。
此次孟语课程将由三名达卡大学孔子学院的实习老师、云南大学和北京语言大学汉语国际教育专业在读研究生李伊甜、毛敏娜和唐艳来负责授课。开班仪式上，课程指导老师、达卡孔院本土教师妮鲁介绍了课程的整体安排。本次孟语课程为试点项目，将持续8周，每周2次课，一共16次课，共计是32个课时。期间，将学习包括问候与交往、家庭、住址、地点、方位、问路、时间、购物、季节、天气、饮食、节日等主题的孟语交际内容以及孟风土人情等文化知识。
达卡孔院还将于近期启动另一个孟语项目，期待语言这把钥匙为我们打开深入了解孟加拉国的大门，加快推进语言互通，为中孟民心相通架设桥梁。
