The 15th UN Chinese Language Day Event Successfully held at University of Dhaka“兰亭·雅集”中国书法主题活动暨“魅力中文”系列活动在孟加拉国达卡大学成功举办
On April 25, 2024, the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh hosted a Chinese calligraphy-themed event to celebrate the 15th UN Chinese Language Day at the Institute of Modern Languages, University of Dhaka. It was organized by the Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka and the Institute of Modern Languages at University of Dhaka, co-organized by the Confucius Institute at North South University, Shanta Mariam-Honghe Confucius Classroom, and the China-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce, with the support of the Bank of China.
The event, part of the "Charm of Chinese" series, was graced by distinguished guests including Mr. Li Shaopeng, Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh, Prof. Dr. Sayeedur Rahman, Director of the Institute of Modern Languages and Bangladeshi Director of Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka, Dr. Yang Hui, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka, Ms. Ma Xiaoyan, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at North South University, and Mr. Zhang Xi, Chinese Director of the Shanta Mariam-Honghe Confucius Classroom. Over 200 participants, including teachers and students from various Bangladeshi universities and educational institutions, calligraphy enthusiasts, representatives from Chinese-funded enterprises, and media, attended the event.
The event featured an exhibition of Chinese culture, showcasing renowned Chinese calligraphy works alongside eco-friendly bags adorned with calligraphy crafted by Confucius Institute teachers and students. Guests immersed themselves in the calligraphy space, savored the fragrance of Chinese tea, enjoying guzheng(traditional Chinese musical Instrument) music and participating in calligraphy writing guided by teachers.
During the event, representatives from Confucius Institutes(classroom) delivered splendid performances showcasing Chinese culture. Students from the Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka recited Chinese classical poetry "May We All Be Blessed with Longevity" with musical accompaniment, while students from the Confucius Institute at North South University sang a popular Chinese song "The Moon represents my Heart." Teachers from the Confucius Institutes engaged in a friendly martial arts demonstration, and interactive teaching sessions on hanzi (Chinese characters) brought joy to the audience. Accompanied by the melodious sound of the guzheng, students and teachers from the Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka recited ancient Chinese poetry "Spring Night Rain" in both Chinese and Bengali.
The Chinese Calligraphy themed event-Charm of Chinese, was one of the celebrations for the 15th UN Chinese Language Day. The aim was to immerse guests in the beauty of Chinese calligraphy and the profound cultural essence of the Chinese language through artistic performances and live interactive teaching sessions, allowing them to feel the charm of traditional Chinese culture.

2024年4月25日，由中国驻孟加拉国大使馆主办，孟加拉国达卡大学孔子学院、达卡大学现代语言学院承办，南北大学孔子学院、山度•玛利亚姆-红河孔子课堂、孟加拉国中资企业协会协办，中国银行支持的“兰亭•雅集”中国书法主题活动暨“魅力中文”系列活动在孟加拉国达卡大学现代语言学院拉开帷幕。中国驻孟加拉国使馆文化参赞李少鹏、达卡大学现代语言学院院长兼达卡大学孔子学院孟方院长萨伊德•拉赫曼、达卡大学孔子学院中方院长杨惠、南北大学孔子学院中方院长马晓燕、山度•玛利亚姆-红河孔子课堂中方院长张曦以及来自孟加拉国多所高校和教育机构的师生、书法爱好者、中资企业及媒体代表200余人参加活动。

李少鹏参赞在活动致辞中表示，中国书法不仅是一种独特的艺术形式，更承载着中国文化深厚底蕴和哲学智慧。希望通过书法的笔触和墨香，让更多的孟加拉国友人感受中文丰富的美学内涵和中国文人的优雅情趣，体验中国文化的哲理思考和深远意蕴。期待更多的孟加拉国青年担当中孟友好交往的使者，中孟更多有识之士携手交流与合作，推动中孟两国友谊如同这流淌的墨香一般，历久弥新，绵延不断。

萨伊德•拉赫曼院长表示，此次活动正值联合国第十五个中文日到来之际，也恰逢达卡大学现代语言学院成立50周年。“兰亭•雅集”不仅是一场艺术的盛会，精彩呈现了中国书法和中文之美，更是中孟两国深化文明互鉴，扩大文化交流的重要契机，彰显了世界语言和文化多样性发展的深远意义。

达卡大学孔子学院中方院长杨惠在致辞中表示，“国际中文日”为孟加拉国民众了解中国、体验中华文化打开了一扇新窗口，“兰亭•雅集”搭建了中孟两国人民沟通情感与心灵的舞台，希望中孟社会各界以中文为桥梁，以文化为纽带，不断加深文明互鉴，促进两国民心相通。

此次中国书法主题活动名为“兰亭·雅集”，源于东晋永和九年(公元353年)三月初三“上巳节”，时任会稽内史的右军将军、大书法家王羲之邀请42位才子名士于会稽山阴之兰亭(今浙江省绍兴市)举办了首次兰亭雅集，王羲之写就“天下第一行书”——《兰亭集序》。永和兰亭雅集的举办，彰显了中国文人以文会友、笔会传承的品味与追求，得到了后世文人与书家的积极响应与传承，形成一道独特的中国传统文化景观。

活动在达卡大学现代语言学院大厅设置了中国文化长廊，现场来宾络绎不绝，游目骋怀。《兰亭集序》《曲水流觞》等中国著名书法作品和国画作品分列两侧，孔院老师和同学们手写书法装饰的环保购物袋构建的书法立体空间位于中心。来宾们在中国老师现场弹奏的悠扬古筝声中，穿梭于笔墨纷飞的书法空间欣赏留影，驻足品味清香甘甜的中国茶，屏息凝神在老师的指导下用毛笔书写汉字，怡然自足，流连忘返。

活动中，在孟三家孔院（课堂）的师生代表带来了精彩的中国文化表演。达卡大学孔子学院学生以配乐诗朗诵《水调歌头•明月几时有》送上“但愿人长久”的诚挚祝福；南北大学孔子学院学生在《月亮代表我的心》中吟唱永恒的爱的主题；达卡孔院中方教师和山度•玛丽亚姆-红河孔子课堂本土教师以武会友，一招一式令人振奋；南北大学孔子学院老师以“乐学汉字”互动教学带大家感受学习汉字的乐趣；伴着韵味悠长的古筝弹奏，达卡孔院师生用中孟双语声情并茂朗诵《春夜喜雨》，让“润物细无声”的中国文化潜入人心。

本次“兰亭•雅集”中国书法主题活动暨“魅力中文”系列活动是中国驻孟加拉国使馆、在孟孔子学院（课堂）共同举办的联合国第十五个中文日庆祝活动之一，旨在通过文艺演出、现场教学、互动体验等形式，让来宾沉浸式体验中国书法之美及中文深厚的文化内涵，感受中国传统文化的魅力。
