DU Chemistry expressed formal appreciation to Professor Pradip Kumar Bakshi
The Department of Chemistry, University of Dhaka organized a small program, preceded by the departmental academic committee meeting, on February 18, 2024 for appreciating Professor Dr. Pradip Kumar Bakshi on the verge of starting his LPR days after sincerely serving the University in his long career. The current faculty members were present at the program to bid farewell to him. Professor Dr. Md. Qamrul Ehsan, current Chairman of the Department, honored Professor Bakshi with crest and flower bouquet on behalf of the Department. The faculty members shared their memories with Professor Bakshi and expressed gratitude and appreciation to the veteran educator for his outstanding contribution to the department, university, and most importantly, to Chemistry education in Bangladesh.
Department of Chemistry believes that Professor Bakshi's leaving will mark the end of an era and create an irreplaceable emptiness in the Department as well as in the University. His knowledge, wisdom, dedication to teaching and research set an example for the junior and followers. The Department will remain forever indebted to his vision and commitment for propelling to the present position of the Department.
