CSEDU Annual Picnic 2024:   A Day of Fun, Bonding, and Embarking Adventure

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Dhaka is gearing up for its much-anticipated annual picnic, set to take place at the serene Fortis Downtown Resort on Monday, March 4, 2024. With an expected turnout of 200 participants, this year's event promises to be an exciting day filled with camaraderie, games, delicious food, and entertainment.

Organized by the enthusiastic members of the 27th Batch (currently the 3rd year), the picnic will kick off with a series of exhilarating games designed to bring together faculty, alumni, and students alike. From the light games to interactive traditional tournaments of Tug of War, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Additionally, a surprise game awaits all participants, promising a twist of excitement and unpredictability.

After working up an appetite, attendees will gather for a sumptuous lunch featuring a delectable spread of dishes with live music. The buffet lunch menu contains multiple delicious items as follows:

SOUP: Thai thick soup/ clear vegetable soup with chicken/chicken corn soup/hot & sour soup 

SALAD: Mix salad,3 type borta,green chilli, mango pickel, chilli pickel, alubokhara pickel, jolpai pickel, onion ring, lemon slice

APPETIZER: Vegetable pakora 

MAIN: Fried rice, Fried chicken, Plain rice, Chicken curry, Chicken chilli (thai), Sweet & sour fish, Chinese vegetable, Vegetable curry, Dall curry

DESSERT: Firni, Pudding 

Following the meal, the afternoon will transition into a cultural segment where talents will be showcased, and a raffle draw will add an element of anticipation and excitement.

While the main events promise ample entertainment, the Fortis Downtown Resort offers a plethora of facilities to further enhance the experience. A thrilling day-long access to the swimming pool, jacuzzi, children's playground, green view lawn, walking trail, and a large sports-ground for football, zip-lining, cycling, boating, archery, camping and electric cars to roam around the resort premises ensures that there's never a dull moment. Additionally, participants can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi to capture and share memorable moments throughout the day.

Transportation to the venue will be provided, with the journey commencing from the department premises at 7:15 AM on March 4, 2024. The cost of transportation is complimentary for all participants. 

As the annual picnic draws near, excitement is palpable within the department, with attendees eagerly anticipating a day of laughter, friendly competition, and unforgettable memories at Fortis Downtown Resort.
