Donation of Personal Computers to Underprivileged Students of CSEDU
13 November, 2024: On November 13, 2024, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Dhaka, hosted a noteworthy meeting with representatives of JaduPC. The meeting, chaired by Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque, focused on the presentation of JaduPC and ShopnoOS, innovative solutions designed to enhance computing experiences for students. This event featured the presentation of JaduPC and ShopnoOS, along with discussions on the performance of JaduPC as a student-focused computer.
Beyond the focus on computers, the meeting delved into emerging technological topics, including electric vehicles (EVs), Battery Management Systems (BMS), and operating systems, paving the way for potential industry-academia collaboration on research and development.
As part of JaduPC’s commitment to supporting education, the company generously donated two personal computers to underprivileged students from the department. The recipients, Mohammad Mahmudul Kabir Fahmid, a 1st-year student, and Md. Rokonuzaman Rokon, a 3rd-year student, were selected based on their educational needs.
The handover ceremony was conducted by the Department Chairman, Professor Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque, in the presence of the Student Advisor, Mr. Md. Fahim Arefin. This initiative underscores the department's commitment to fostering equitable access to educational resources and strengthening partnerships with industry stakeholders.
