MPF 12th Batch Orientation Program Takes Place at Department of Finance
The orientation program of the MPF 12th batch of the Department of Finance, University of Dhaka was held on 6 October 2023, Friday to welcome the newcomers wholeheartedly. The honourable dean of the faculty of business studies, University of Dhaka, Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdul Moyeen was the chief guest and the country head of ACCA Bangladesh, Ms. Prawma Tapashi Khan FCCA was the special guest of the program. Under the supervision of the honourable chairman of the department Professor Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury and the MPF program director Professor Dr. A. A. Mahboob Uddin Chowdhury, the event was hosted by Pallabi Siddiqua, Associate Professor, Department of Finance. Distinguished faculties and students from the MPF 12th batch were present at that moment.
The program started with inviting the honourable guests to take their places on the stage and they were presented with flowers as a token of love.
Following the welcoming, the MPF program director Professor Dr. A. A. Mahboob Uddin Chowdhury greeted the newcomers and wished them luck. To prepare students for their journey, a captivating video was shown to them that gave them an insight into the MPF program and the Department of Finance.
The honourable chairman of the department, Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury was subsequently invited for the concluding remarks where he elucidated the impressive environment of the department.
Afterwards, the special guest, Ms. Prawma Tapashi Khan FCCA was welcomed on the stage where she enlightens the audiece about ACCA and the diversity of the finance department.
Then, the students of the 12th batch shared their astonishing experience and how they are managing their families, jobs and enrollment in this course together. All the newcomers were inspired to hear those words.
Afterwards, it was the time for the speech of the chief guest of the program, The honourable dean of the faculty of business studies, University of Dhaka, Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdul Moyeen. He shared many astonishing events which definitely motivated the students. The speech was quite interesting and had some serious learnings along with it. He concluded his valuable speech with some great guidance toward the freshers.
Dr. M. Masud Rahman, Professor, Department of Finance then came to attract the crowd with his speech filled with wisdom.
The students and all the faculties present there subsequently took part in a photo session to make the event memorable. Besides, the chairman of the department Professor Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury and the MPF program director Dr. A. A. Mahboob Uddin Chowdhury handed over a token of appreciation to Ms. Prawma Tapashi Khan FCCA, country head of ACCA Bangladesh.
Finally, the program came to an end when the rules and regulations of this program were presented by Tahmid Islam, Lecturer, Department of Finance to the newly enrolled students of the MPF program. He clarified the curriculum and grading system and all the other policies.
